How settings interact

  • If a default style preset is set, randomize behavior is overridden.
  • Haptics setting is most relevant on iOS hardware that supports it.
  • Auto-close behavior affects editor trays such as export and preset surfaces.

Notes

  • Theme choice changes the app chrome, but system accessibility and OS display settings still affect the final appearance.
  • About Shotwell includes release history, support links, and local install stats such as images loaded and edits made.

Good default setup for most users

  • Keep auto-close on.
  • Keep haptics on.
  • Disable randomize only if you want strict visual consistency.
